"...I'd like to sow the barren spots with all the flowers of earth. To leave a path where those who come should find but gentle mirth... (from The Gentle Gardener)"
Edgar A. Guest, American poet (born 8/20/1881)
We have lots of animals here on the farm and love all of them. We do dog rescue and fostering, sometimes rabbits or other critters, too. Hope you enjoy the pics of our fur-family. :~)
Please check out the critter rescue page to see critters in need and those that have found new homes.
Gabby Gayle will have babies again in June
Bubba Bean Has gone to a new home and new goat herd.
Daisy and Birch born 12/29/08. Birch has gone to a new home where he is someone's special pet. Daisy Mae stayed here with us.
Hawk; Anatolian Shepherd Livestock Guardian. He guards the farm and all the animals, and people on it. We adopted him from National Anatolian Shepherd Rescue Network in 2003, he was about 2 then. So he's getting older and a bit stiff in the hips but still takes his job very seriously.
Brian makes a good poodle pillow for Paris. The rescue group I adopted her from found her in a shelter!
My baby girl.
Annie my pretty girl. She came from a breeding kennel and knew nothing but being in a cage when she came here. Now she loves to run & play outside.
I found Boo, a Toy Fox Terrier, shivering in a cage at a fleamarket so just had to bring her home. She makes us laugh all the time and is such a talker. Brian named her Boo after the little girl in Monsters, Inc for good reason...she "terrierized" the poodles when she came here :)
Nick is a Bernese Mountain Dog and belongs to Brian. Nickie's family moved to Australia and allowed us to give him a new home. He is such a goof ball!
Some of the koi in our pond.
Gwynn and Scotch, two of our three cats snuggled on Brians lap one cold winter night. They usually live outside keeping the gardens free from ground moles and mice..
Our 4000 gallon Koi pond in summer. We love our gardens be they in pots, the ground, or water.
Above; pic was taken standing at our kitchen sink.

Above; Can you see the frog?
Left; the plant pond full of Hyacinth and other plants, along with the waterfall, is the filtration system for the pond...it's all biological.
Prince Edward, English Angora
He was looking for a new home and was allowed to come here and live with us. Isn't he a cutey patootie?
